FORMAT MODULES

There are three formats available on Stellar:

  • Livestream

  • Livestream + on-demand

  • On-demand

Each format provides a different experience and a different type of time commitment, so it’s important to make sure customers understand which one they’re purchasing. To make customers aware of the format, I created this module, which is placed prominently on the show page, as well as in the ticket details after purchase.

EVENT DETAILS

Once the customer has purchased a ticket, their main concern is knowing how to watch the show. As soon as they complete their purchase, they’re presented with a ticket details page that includes this module. Here we remind them when the show starts, provide a test they can run to make sure the stream works for them, and a clear CTA directing them to watch the show.

READY CHECK

Streaming is a newer technology and this product was built for live entertainment. Stellar show viewers were live entertainment enthusiasts and often weren’t familiar with streaming technology. I collaborated with the product designer to create a “ready check” module that could be slotted into user communications. Including this piece of information reduced last-minute customer service issues and refund requests.

Password Reset Email

Functional emails like password reset emails are often overlooked, but emails like these are critical to the relationship between the brand and the user. Before writing the below email, I researched best practices for this type of email, drawing on the experience of other professionals to create a password reset process designed to solve the problem as quickly as possible, anticipate any problems, and make the user feel that their account and information is secure.
